wsam so the genetic testing for the brca gene specific for breast cancer is done under a variety of parameters. Most commonly if you have had a relative who was diagnosed with breast cancer before the age of 50...or if a relative had cancer in both breasts or ovarian cancer. Also if you had a male relative with breast cancer. There are other genetic factors but the testing isn't for everyone. And even those who test positive for one of the two types of brca genes do not always develop breast or ovarian cancer.

I have a friend whose mother is battling pancreatic cancer but the family struggles to keep their mother properly hydrated which results in ER visits and IVs. She refuses to drink liquids. have you had a family member going through chemo and battling cancer that has dealt with this? did you find anything that helped significantly to avoid going to the ER?
